For many artists, work this year has slowed to a crawl, myself included. After increasing my television time a bit more than usual (rewatching The Hills is a trip down memory lane, fellow millennials), I felt the itch to create something with my hands that wasn’t my paintings during this lull period.
It has always been on my bucket list to create jewelry; if you know me, you know I love a good bracelet. Bags, shoes, clothes will all get covered in paint, but jewelry can survive my paint-filled lifestyle.
I wanted something colorful, gender neutral, accessible price-wise, and fun. I feel we are all going through a bit of a slump emotionally, and I wanted to counter that with a dash of fun.
My last name “Vittoria” means “victory” in Italian. These Vittoria bracelets aim to bring a bit of luck to the wearer. Each bracelet is handmade with glass beads on elastic and is inspired by my painting palettes. Like us, no two are the exact same.
