Where has January gone? Even though this portion of the year is usually quite slow (I’m available for corporate work, reach out!) I’ve been keeping myself quite active with a few self-driven initiatives.
The first is a combination hair-tie bracelet. I’ve had this idea floating in my mind since I was about 19, and after ~15 years I finally figured it out. As someone who ties my hair back to paint, but likes to let it down when I’m out and about, I never really loved how my hair tie clashed with the bracelets on my wrist. Insert: the hair tie bracelet. Looks great in your hair and on your wrist.
I took a big bet on myself and ordered 3,000 packs, so tell your friends! Also open to wholesale orders from shops/brands, just reach out!
The next bit of news has been so hard to keep quiet over the last several months! As a non-generative artist who has big dreams, having a collection on ArtBlocks has been a dream of mine over the last few years. Welcome: Kelly Milligan, and incredible artist who uses code. I reached out to him last summer to see if he’d ever be interested in working together, flash forward several months later, and we have “Balance.”
This series nods to the ever-changing composition of harmony by leveraging Milligan's movement through code and my colorful play on equilibrium.
Even though the composition is set upon mint, the collector can temporarily change the composition of the piece, further speaking to the idea of balance constantly moving.
Minting is a settled dutch auction, which means folks who collect higher than the resting price upon sell-out will be refunded the difference. Minting begins on 1/31 at 10am PST, mark your calendars!
